# Legacy physical-session result inputs

The older FIX Antenna, QuickFIX/n and Libhft .NET pure/native controllers
require an absolute writable remote result root for their legacy payloads,
through `--remote-results-root` or `LIBHFT_BENCH_REMOTE_RESULTS`. CLI wins;
missing, relative, parent-traversing or multiline paths fail before output
creation or SSH. Protected rsync arguments support spaces. Their local
outputs follow explicit/session workspace roots. Effective remote declarations
are retained in manifests.

Observed/foreground generations keep their immutable launchers' result paths,
runtime seals, root ownership, CPU/physical/report gates and workload contracts.
Four exact original controllers are preserved under
`internal/bench/cpp/fixbench/tools/open_source_fix_engines/`, sealed against
private main `095dfed18`. Function AST checks prove changes are restricted to
`main` input/output handling and `run_pair` protected artifact collection.
Audit helpers and every other controller function remain identical.

Its complete **740-file** archive passes four actual help entrypoints,
four configured missing-root refusals and **62 focused checks, zero skips**.
The tests exercise real argument processing and output creation up to a
mocked first SSH boundary, alongside source/rig admission checks. The archive
has no devel layout and sits inside an unrelated Git/engine parent.
All selected source bytes remain unchanged, and scratch materialization is
removed afterward. No SDK build, actual SSH, physical or timing run is claimed.

Readiness selects **737 source files**, with **116 scrub findings in 25 files**,
87 textual source-root escapes and zero dead links. Release admission remains
open. All commands, stdout/stderr, source hashes, original seals and controller
are retained under
`~/archive/libhft/legacy-session-results-20261003-f2295010de81` and in
[sealed repository evidence](evidence/legacy-session-results-20261003/SHA256SUMS).
